Top quality drum-dyed leather to match your LightRider Bitless Bridle
- They include detachable rein clips - scissor clips give the most versatility of use.
- Easy Un-clipping allows leading/ground work, or remove them easily for tying up with a lead rope, as reins are not suitable for tying a horse.
- The clips are lightweight so there is breaking point in the rein. If a horse steps on the rein its better to break a clip than the bridle or your horse!
- Designed to be light enough for good release (< 300g) to allow correct release on the bitless bridle/noseband chinstrap.
- Easy to remove or replace the clips with buckled rein ends.
Rope reins are available here.

Soft reins
By: Alison Harman on 18 June 2020I don't like really long or fat reins so I chose these in cob size for my 15hh horse. They are perfect. Slim and nice leather, the clip makes them easy to attach to my baroque hackamore shanks. Great that they came in brass and tan which is what matched my bridle.

excellent
21 May 2016I ordered the Warmblood length reins. I wanted the extra length as I don't like to be short of reins when I am riding. No chance of losing your reins when your horse is drinking in the river.

review of cotton reins
7 April 2016I was unable to buy cotton reins in England so they had to come from the other side of the world. They are excellent, really nice to hold. Would certainly buy some more

Lightrider Reins
By: Lise on 7 October 2015Prefer these reins for my hackamore, as I don't like all the ropes flapping around the head and neck area. They are also much lighter than most rope reins. Wish they came in colours to match halters, as the black and brown, are easy to lose.

Warmblood 11’9” Lightrider polyrope
By: Anne-Marie Grovestock-Thompson on 7 March 2015The polyrope reins have a nice feel - silky smooth and light. They are long enough that I can sit upright whilst Murphy (16.3hh warmblood/cob) grazes or drinks. The clips work well and are also light. Our 11' Parelli finesse reins are much heavier and weigh 550 grams compared with the Lightrider reins weighing less than 300 grams. I recommend this product.

29 December 2014Lovely quality and very convenient snap, which can double as a lead rope, on the leading ring - very clever.

Best reins for light rider bridle
By: Deborah Ring on 1 June 2014I bought the cotton reins for my lightrider bridle. They are 1 inch wide which is what I like, very light weight, and comfortable to hold without gloves.

Light, easy to use, horse loved them!
By: Amy on 2 April 2014I very much love my new reins, they are soo fine and light, and my horse is quite appreciative of the weight. He's very responsive with them. They have a really nice, flexible but firm and soft feel to them. I would definitely recommend them!

Great reins!!
By: Jo on 7 January 2014The "black & gold" rope reins look great with my black stockhorse style Lightrider bridle and are a good length for loose reined trail riding (I got the full size for my 15.3hh horse). They have a very nice feel.

very good reins
21 November 2013I like these leather reins. The clips are a little touchy but that's fine as the reins are great for their price especially. I am very happy with them.

By: shan daw on 1 February 2013I love these reins because you don't need gloves and finger feel touch is so much better than a 'grip'.

EXCELLENT QUALITY!
By: Grace NSW on 3 January 2013I use the biothane reins on my pony and find them to be really user friendly. They are nice and soft on your hands, but are still grippy. They are also very easy to clean, just wipe over with a damp cloth.

Light rider rope reins are terrific
By: Julianne on 16 May 2012I love the reins as they do give a fast rein release. They are soft, light and very nice to ride in . I have the swivel clip on them as I do ground work before hand. Great rein worth buying. I am a trail rider.

Comfortable, stylish, functional!
9 February 2012I was very impressed with my LightRider Poly Rope reins! They are incredibly comfortable on my hands, light, and look great (both as a lead rope and as reins). They serve many purposes - I use mine as a lead rope, a lunge line (they are long enough!) and of course, as reins. Everything I expected and more :)

Reins a great
By: Patsy on 12 September 2010I love my Black Light Rider Bitless Bridle made of Deluxe Biothane. I love the quality, the look and the fit on Ali. I really like the light weight reins and the feel of them. When on a loose rein they do not swing like a heavier rein will do.

VERY SOFT REINS!!!
By: Grace.H on 25 August 2010The LightRider Rope Reins are very soft! When I go on 2hr Trail Rides, the reins are very comfortable! They are nice and grippy and don't rub my hands at all! Also, my horse seems to be lighter in them! I love the quality of them! Very nice!! :)
